Prestigious Fortune 500 Company is currently seeking a VP of Infrastructure Monitoring and Automation Tooling. Candidate is responsible for planning, design, selection, implementation and ongoing operations of the Global Infrastructure monitoring and management suite of tools (~100). The role provides tier 1- 3 support to ensure stable operations and service continuity of all critical production systems.
Systems Include:
- Monitoring & Alerting tools
- Infrastructure Automation/Orchestration
- DevOps
- Reporting (Specifically focused on Cognos, Tableau, PowerBI and Infrastructure Data Lakes)
- Command Center Applications
Responsibilities:
Strategy, Planning, and Execution
- Engineering, designing, configuring, installing, integrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting ~100 unique toolsets
- Assessment, rationalization, and optimization of the complete tool suite across a newly merged company
- Planning tooling road-maps to increase coverage, and self-healing across production critical infrastructure and applications
- Prepares and maintains a multi year plan to improve system predictability, performance and availability
- Monitors utilization, capacity and performance ensuring optimal performance
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for tool usage and deployment
- Ensures quarterly audit of all user access rights are reviewed, approved and updated across all systems
- Develop technical specifications and business cases to support new service acquisitions and deployments
- Maintain industry knowledge on industry trends and services
- Maintains solid demand management process to prioritize upcoming onboarding installations
- Manage future demand ensuring capacity to onboard exists
