DevOps Engineer | £60,000 – £70,000 | Remote working Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for one of our newest clients; an exciting, dynamic, and growing software company. You will join a well-established company who are at the forefront of a new growth plan and underway with an ambitious program of work. Working with the latest technical stack you will help shape products for the next decade as well as create a new platform for the future. As Senior DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for the hands-on delivery of DevOps practises to enable the build of the new platform. You will help automate and provision environments across their platforms and to assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of their Azure environment. THE BASICS: As Senior DevOps Engineer, you will have strong technical expertise and the ability to be involved in all levels of technical discussions, from architecture to hands on coding You’ll be responsible for creating a DevOps culture within a new software development team, creating new processes and operations Usage of Azue foundational architecture and components to build out automated cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines and supporting services frameworks You will be required to create and maintain automation scripts using tools like PowerShell and Infrastructure as code tools, e.g; Terraform Creating and maintaining support and operational documentation as required If you have experience working in the AECO | Construction sector this will be an advantage KEY SKILLS: Programming proficiency in languages such as Python or Go Public cloud experience with Microsoft Azure, IaaS, PaaS Experience in the tools, technologies, and approach to integrate applications and data across multiple technologies and methods Experience building cloud automation, including CD/CI pipelines using technologies equivalent to Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker Network experience, aware of cloud network patterns such as VPC, network interconnect, subnets, peering, firewalls, etc Good understanding of Container Lifecycle management Strong communication, motivational and good leadership skills are a must THE CONCLUSION: This is an autonomous position where you will be the key stakeholder in charge of DevOps practises for the team working on a greenfield project with opportunity to develop and progress your career further. Travel to Gloucester twice a week.
