We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Sales Manager on our Health Solution team. In this role, you will contribute to the growth, vitality, and profitability of the American Medical Association by achieving sales revenue targets and operational goals with minimal assistance and supervision. This includes, but is not limited to, calling on, establishing, managing and maintaining ongoing relationships with all levels, including Senior and C-Suite Executives, within existing and new accounts; management of existing revenue, identification and development of new revenue/product opportunities; as well as negotiating contracts and ensuring on-going compliance of contract terms and conditions. Responsibilities * Following the overall Sales and Marketing strategic objectives for growth, profitability and customer loyalty, research, develop and implement specific tactical sales plans for negotiating sales and contracts for the Health Solutions and other targeted AMA product portfolio. Work closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to forecast and close sales and deliver products within established guidelines to meet sales objectives. * Work with Sales and Marketing leaders and respective groups to facilitate complex contract negotiations with customers. Optimize lead development and flush out incoming data leads and opportunities. Develop plans and implement new client types, pricing structures, and contract verbiage * Manage day to day sales activity to achieve revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction goals. Document sales activity related to customer relationship management to accurately reflect client contact information and progress in the sales cycle in SalesForce. This includes, but is not limited to call and meeting activity, discrepancy processing, and order fulfillment. Engage in analysis of reporting systems to measure performance as required. * Develop and implement sales skills to maximize effectiveness of participation in internal & customer meetings as well as attendance at trade shows and conferences. * Contribute to sales, product and marketing strategies, pricing decisions and competitive analysis by providing/reporting market trend information and intelligence gained through the course of doing business. Offer ideas regarding new products and product enhancements to ensure that the AMA delivers best in class solutions, maximizes revenue and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction. Other_Functions/Responsibilities * Develop and maintain relationships with industry leaders. * Complete other tasks and projects as assigned. Requirements Bachelor s degree in appropriate field required. Minimum of 7-10 years business experience focused on sales and sales development or similar field; minimum of 2 years healthcare focused sales or account management experience. Established industry contracts helpful. Polished selling skills, including strong presentation, interpersonal, persuasion and negotiation skills with C-Level executives. Demonstrated ability to initiate, negotiate, and close sales and strategic partnerships with large corporate accounts. Able to relate well with all levels of customers. Experience in enforcing contract compliance desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in direct sales, customer relations, sales/market analysis, forecasting and results reporting. Strong financial analytical skills with the ability to identify and present trends and anomalies. Must be self-motivated and able to effectively manage time to achieve individual and organizational goals. Excellent independent multi-tasking capability and organization skills. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively with ambiguous evidence and with limited supervision. Ability to constructively formulate, present and defend points of view that challenge conventional thinking in a management setting, whether for persuasive or discussion purposes required. Proficient in MS office products (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Travel required 15 - 20% of the time; may include lengthy car travel The AMA offers competitive salaries, including an incentive plan; excellent benefits and progressive technology.
