JavaScript Developer - Cyber Security

Full-time, Cambridge

A superb new opportunity for a JavaScript Developer to join a high-tech Cambridge company specialising in data visualisation tools and related technologies for the cyber security industry. The JavaScript Developer will be a key member of the team designing, prototyping and developing new features of the products, including visual elements such as charts, graphs and maps to provide an accessible way to visualise and understand trends, outliers and patterns in data, essential for analysing massive amounts of information and making data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for advanced JavaScript development and desire to solve complex software problems and challenges -particularly those related to drawings and layouts. As the JavaScript Developer you will be given the opportunity not only to use your technical creativity and software engineering skills on live product development projects, but also to develop your own ideas and personal development projects within a commercial environment.

The ideal JavaScript Developer candidate will have the following:

  • Ideally, a degree or equivalent in Computing, Computer Science or similar.

  • Strong JavaScript development experience in a commercial setting

  • Experience of working in an agile software development team

  • Experience of working in React

  • Passion for creating novel, high-tech applications and graphical layouts

  • Experience with NodeJS, Redux, Webpack, UX and data visualisation or analysis will be highly advantageous
