Brookwood is seeking a working on behalf of a final consultancy seeking ATM Software Developers.

This role is 6 months

The day rate is negotiable, and it is Inside IR35 due to end client being a large financial institution.

This role is based in Knutsford, Cheshire, and will require onsite presence due to the nature of the work.

The Role:

- Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programs

- Testing and evaluating new programs

- Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications

- Writing and implementing efficient code

- Determining operational practicality

- Developing quality assurance procedures

- Deploying software tools, processes and metrics

- Maintaining and upgrading existing systems

- Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts

Requirements:

- Hands-on C++/C# experience,

- Hands-on XFS/NCD/DDC experience,

- Familiarity with ProBase & ProCash platform,

- Experience in writing unit tests and automated test scripts,

- Good understating of software engineering principles (OOP, TDD, etc),

- Working knowledge of Windows 10 (from developer point of view),

- Working knowledge of MS Visual Studio,

- Working knowledge of source code repositories (SVN, GIT)

- Working knowledge of automation tools (Jenkins, Chef, etc)

- Good understanding of Windows OS and associated tools,

- Knowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologies

- Commercial and business awareness

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

- Hands-on JavaScript experience,

- Hands-on QT/Boost experience,

- Hands-on experience in writing Windows Batch/VBS/PS scripts,

- Degree in relevant software engineering discipline,

- Awareness of leading-edge tools, techniques and services within IT,

- Familiarity with software development methodologies, eg Agile, Scrum, Lean, CI
