IT Systems Engineer

IT SYSTEMS ENGINEER

My client requires an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join their project.

As a systems engineer in our IT support team, you are responsible for maintaining the company's own IT infrastructure, monitoring the IT systems and helping to coordinate and integrate it systems worldwide for our OBE on board electronics business unit.

The main tasks in this versatile position are:

Maintenance of the company's own IT infrastructure, monitoring of IT systems

1st level/client support for Office products and peripherals

Resolve incoming support requests from employees worldwide (disruptions, support requests, support, service requests, etc.)

Evaluation and procurement of ALL kinds of IT material

Support of mobile telephony and applications, management of terminal devices and contracts

Ensure user satisfaction by timely resolution of support cases

2nd Level support and operation of the Servers (MS Exchange, DC, WSUS, Storage, FTP, DMS, Q-Management System, etc.)

Management of domain names, public DNS management and SSL certificates

Operation and further development of server virtualization

Maintenance of server racks and backbone cabling (copper/fiber)

Project management/project collaboration in hardware and software projects

Lead, extend, and create documentation

Operation, maintenance and further development of the internal corporate networks LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, routing and switching as well as Firewalls (Cisco, Zyxel, Sophos)

Deployment of VPN systems (IPsec site connections and client VPN)

Execution and control of daily data backups

Performing Restore Operations incl. Disaster Recovery

Coordination of support for 3rd-level support

Training employees, creating operating instructions

Active participation in the development of the Cyber Security Roadmap

Leading IT Staff (1st Level Supporter)

Experience Required:

Completed training with EFZ in the field of computer science, further training HF or FH an advantage

MS Certification MCITP/MCSA/MCSE on Windows Server 2012R2 and above

ITIL certification an advantage

Several years of experience in system engineering

Expertise in network, virtualization, Windows 10, MS Office, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Cyber Security.

Linux knowledge is an advantage.

Established personality, high willingness to provide services, high IT affinity

Quick understanding, analytical thinking

Ready to call and assignments on weekends

Experience in dealing with DMS and CRM systems is an advantage

German Speaking Language skills required.
