Unix AIX System Engineer
Your tasks
- Development, operation and support of the AIX environment on a virtualized infrastructure (IBM power systems)
- Collaboration in the field of Scripting, application support, software license management and operation of the Oracle databases
- Implementation and monitoring of the specifications in the areas of data protection and data backup
- Monitoring of hardware and software availability
- Partial responsibility for technologically and organizationally demanding projects
- Cross-team collaboration (infrastructure, application and operation)
Your qualification
- Computer science studies combined with several years of experience with UNIX operating systems (AIX/RedHat Linux) and Scripting (Shell)
- Good knowledge of the AIX operating system and its virtualization with LPARs and VIO Servers including PowerHA
- Knowledge in the field of automation, monitoring, data security, performance analysis, application support and the operation of Oracle databases
- Independent, structured way of working as well as a service-oriented and analytical personality
- Successful team player with social skills
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
