We have an exciting contract opportunity for JAVA developers to join one of our prestigious banking clients in Brussels. The role is set to begin in the new year and will be on a rolling 6 monthly contract basis.

Our client is looking for developers with excellent knowledge of Java (and/or React) to join part of their development & integration team. The Dev Engineer works in an agile team and applies several useful skills (analysis/design/development/testing/integration), which in combination with the skills of the other members of the team compose all required skills to deliver a product at the end of each sprint. We are looking for developers with excellent communication skills (primarily in English; any French or Dutch would be a huge bonus) and an Agile mindset.

As well as sound Java knowledge, the role also requires:

  • excellent understanding of architecture (hardware, OS, networking, databases, Middleware)
  • knowledge of methods, standards, and security procedures as well as development tools
  • experience with integration using different technologies (distributes/Mainframe) and infra components

The role will be based in Brussels as part of a larger development squad. Any background in banking will be advantageous. The role will require the successful candidate to visit the site in Brussels to pick up equipment and validate credentials; thereafter will be able to work from home during the COVID19 pandemic.
