BI Consultant - French Speaker - Freelance/Contract - Belgium

Robson Bale are looking for a French speaking BI Consultant to come on board for an initial 12 month contract in Belgium.

12 months, market rates.

The role:

As part of the implementation of a Data Platform on Azure, the mission includes 2 components:

1 - With the project team, the consultant will define the governance and the strategy for using Power BI, based on the Data Platform. It will establish what the tool can do in relation to data governance. His/her expertise on the Power BI tool will be a major asset in the development of the project.

2 - The consultant will be a full member of the "Analytics" factory. In an Agile delivery framework, he/her will design and build strategic reporting solutions in connection with the data brewed for the Smartmeter program (needs, design, testing and user support).

He/her will be part of a team dedicated to delivery on the Data Platform, against the backdrop of activated technologies.

Technical skills:

The consultant will be responsible for:

Translate business needs into business requirements,

Participate in the framing effort based on input from the solution architect before starting delivery,

Translate business requirements into functional and non-functional requirements,

Carry out the detailed design of the solution with regard to the requirements,

Participate in the build of the solution through the writing of test scenarios

Carry out ad-hoc documentation

The IT Analytics Business Analyst must have at least 5 years of expertise in reporting, BI and the Power BI visualization tool

In-depth knowledge of different SAP modules (type FI, CO, MM, CS, IS-U, ...) (Nice to have)

Basic knowledge of SQL language (MUST)

Knowledge of SAP DS Designer and/or SAP BO IDT (Nice to have) tools

Experience in supporting and training users

Proven experience with the Power BI tool (MUST)

Proven experience with a testing management tool (HPQC or equivalent)

Proven experience with a UML modelling tool (Sparx EA or equivalent)

Proven experience in writing relevant test cases as part of a reporting solution delivery (MUST)

Proven experience in machine learning

Proven experience in DATA VAULT modelling

Proven experience in dimensional modelling

Knowledge of interpreting BPMN diagrams

Language requirement: English level B2 on the European CEFR scale

Language requirement: French level C2 on the CEFR European scale

Proven experience with the use of different UML diagrams

Proven experience in capturing "reporting/BI" oriented needs

Proven experience in report design and build

Proven experience in developing KPIs

Proven experience as a functional analyst (reporting/BI/Analytics) (MUST)

Proven experience on SAP BO Web Intelligence
