Our client is a top tier private bank that operates globally providing financial services. They are looking for a Database Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Zurich. Your responsibilities:
Direct analysts and programmers to make changes to existing databases and database management systems as well as others in coding logical and physical database descriptions.
Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish the project as well as to review and approve database development and determine project scope and limitations.
Schedule, approve, supervise, and plan the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems.
Implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure.
Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information.
You must have:
- 6+ years of experience with Enterprise Data Warehousing
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle Exadata Architecture (Deep understanding of the Oracle 19c)
- 4+ years of experience with Database Design for Analytics Type Applications
- Security & Compliance Expertise (Oracle Auditing, Security, Access Control)
- Archive/Data Lifecycle Concepts experience
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- ETL Solutions (Informatica PowerCenter, others)
- Big Data Technologies (Hadoop)
- Infrastructure Automation experience
