Ops Engineer - Batch scheduling/Mainframe/cloud.

For one of my globally leading financial clients I am urgently looking for an Ops Engineer with good batch scheduling and some IBM Cloud knowledge for at least a 2 year contract in Belgium.

The successful Ops Engineer will ideally have some banking sector experience albeit this is not essential if you have the right skills set.

My client is looking for someone who has good experience moving Batch workload towards Cloud ecosystem (IBM Cloud) in addition to helping them with their Cloud solution by wrapping IBM public service offerings into a dedicated and private IBM cloud. Scheduling and related scheduler tools will be second nature to you as well as good knowledge of mainframes (preferably IBM)

Essentially you will have good experience with the following:

• IBM Cloud


• Batch Workload Automation


• Batch Scheduling


• Scheduling tools experience
  Batch workloads


• IaaS


• PaaS


• Ops Engineer experience.


• Mainframe experience (IBM/Zos)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Standard Ops Engineer responsibilities and duties including, providing solution wrapping services for PaaS as well as IaaS infrastructure. Providing support to my client's batch workload automation in their move to the Cloud (IaaS & PaaS) Help moving batch workload towards an IBM cloud ecosystem. Involved with my clients Mainframe systems and the integration to the cloud. You do not have to be a cloud expert, just have a good understanding!.

Location: Brussels

Rates: Negotiable

Contract: 24months +
