Your new role
You will be the company's main Docs as Code expert, designing, developing and maintaining technical content.
You will collaborate with technology experts on a variety of teams (development, product ) to manage documentation. You will advocate for developers to write about features while they are fresh!You will manage the entire documentation process using developer-centric tools and collaborate with other writers using version control such as GIT.
You will follow a docs-as-code workflow and implement best practice for the implementation of the docs-as-code approach, automating processes where possible. You will develop processes, guidelines, including style guides, accessibility guidelines and content templates that enables and educates teams to create and curate high quality documentation.
You will develop structured collaboration and review processes with continuous delivery. Strive to improve existing documentation tools and processes. You will run validation checks to check for broken links, improper terms/styles, and formatting errors.
What you'll need to succeed
5+ years professional experience as a technical writer, or content developer with the ability to develop strategy for information architecture and documentation infrastructure. Experience managing versioning, authentication, pdf, and content re-use. You will understand the Docs-as-Code approach and have experience acquiring required information by interviewing subject matter experts.
BS/BA/MS/MA in Technical communication, Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent experience.
