Senior Project Manager/Business Analyst (IBOR- Investment Banking)

On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a Hybrid Project Manager/Business Analyst with in-depth knowledge of Front to Back operations/Trade flows.

Overview of the project:

  • We are currently looking for an individual to join our banking client's Business Transformation team, to be the IBOR Transition lead

  • You will become a member of the program to support the IBOR Transition activities for the Business Transformation Team.

  • The role involves a lot of interaction and coordination with business partners across multiple divisions as well as external clients.


  • Working with legal, business and front to back project team to support the client transition process of migrating Legacy Treasury/Cash trades from Interbank Offered Rates (IBOR) to Alternative References Rates (ARR).

  • Working with the Front Office business and front to back project team to agree timeline and strategy for migrating clients and Treasury/Cash trades.

  • Working on bi-lateral negotiations with clients on ARR fall backs that do not sign up to the ISDA protocol.

  • Drafting ISDA confirmations for re-structured trades. Working with the Front Office business and legal to facilitate any bespoke confirmations.

  • Managing client confirmation queries on ARR trades.

  • Updating any existing bi-lateral master confirmation agreements

  • Working with the Front Office business, Trade Management Team and front to back project team and agree consistent trade re-booking approach. Managing downstream confirmation workflow messages.


  • Over 7 years of experience in different roles such as Project Manager, Business Analyst and Change Manager

  • Broad cross-product and financial sector knowledge: repo, Fixed Income, equities, OTC

  • Proven Operations experience and knowledge (Front to Back flows, from trade flows to execution)

  • IBOR knowledge and ideally previous project experience

  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, and develop and manage relationships

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent documentation skills

  • Proven project coordination and financial management skills

  • Confident and self-motivated individual with a proactive approach

  • Strong time management skills; Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines while working in a pressurized team/environment

  • Ability to learn new technology applications and process techniques quickly

  • Flexibility to assist on multiple areas within the program as required.
