Bookkeeper Bidwells are looking for two experienced Bookkeepers to support our Accounting team in the Rural division in Cambridge, one is a six month fixed term contract and one is a permanent position. We will expect you to be able to provide support in all aspects of bookkeeping, including: * Coding supplier invoices, reconciling suppliers' statements, entering invoices on the accounting system, paying suppliers and maximising the use of suppliers' credit facilities * Controlling property/non-property receipts, carrying out banking procedures and processing transactions * Payment of wages, dealing with PAYE/NI remittances * Monitoring the property rental system and processing of tenant debtor transactions * Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations, originating inter-bank account transfers, monitoring client overdraft/retention levels and expiry dates, maintenance of bank balance report Being AAT qualified would be desirable, but by no means essential. We want someone who is organised, takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail, is IT literate and has good verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience within a professional services office environment would be desirable. The role will offer the flexibility to have a balance of home working and being office based from our Cambridge office, working in an modern working environment with access to our Brewery café!
