Solution Architect - Active SC Clearance - Remote.

We are seeking a Solution Architect with Data experience. You must have ACTIVE SC Clearance on behalf of a public sector consultancy.

This will be a remote contract, initially for around 8 months, with possible extension.

The day rate is £647 Inside IR35.

Active SC Clearance, which has been used in the past 12 months, is an essential requirement for this role.

The role sits within the architecture function within the programme, where we require a solution architect with data experience.

Essential Requirements:
Applications architecture background (Java, json, XML, python)
API/Broker/Bus architecture
Building HL/LL designs
Stakeholder Engagement for platform and portfolio interfaces
Java Frameworks such as Hibernate, Camel; Message queueing (Eg. ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, MQSeries, MSMQ)
Databases (eg. PostgresSQL, MS SQL, Sybase T-SQL, Oracle PL/SQL)
ESB products (eg. Weblogic, Red Hat Fuse, JBoss)
API gateways (Mulesoft, Axway)

Beneficial requirements:
Cloud technologies eg AWS/Azure
Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Toolsets eg Confluence, JIRA, Enterprise Architects from Sparx Systems
Expertise/experience working on security controls/mechanisms, transport protocols, IAM, Access Control (RBAC&ABAC)

Technical Skills:

Agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban and derivatives), Continuous Delivery techniques (fully automated build/testing/deployment) and DevOps, UX-driven approaches.

Test Driven Development, Behaviour driven frameworks incl. Cucumber, Automated end to end testing using smart stubs, emulation (eg Selenium)

Develop baseline architecture (Sparx and Confluence)
Review non-functional requirements (Confluence)
Define the high-level logical data model (Sparx)
Review draft Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA)
Attendance at technical governance boards (TDA's)
Provide advice and recommendations for tooling setup for development workstream
