Senior Mountain Bike engineer

We are currently looking on behalf of one of our top clients for a Senior mountain bike engineer. This role is a permanent position based in Fribourg Canton. If you join the bike engineer team, you will develop framesets, from the concept definition to the product industrial 3D.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Define new product technical specifications with the Product Managers
  • Search for new concepts/solutions in close collaboration with other teams
  • Support designers and 3D modelers during the design phase
  • Validate the function and dimensioning of the concepts/solutions
  • Handle the industrial 3D file in close relation with Designers and factories
  • Validate tooling, material choice and process with our team. Visit suppliers to validate the process
  • Follow-up the tests to reach the performance and product safety/life-time targets
  • Assist our Product Managers, Designers and factories to ensure the feasibility of the products according to the specifications. Assist marketing team in preparing and presenting product workshops and shows
  • Manage assigned projects

Your Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as bike engineer, specifically mountain bike would be an asset
  • Project management experience
  • Advanced user knowledge of 3D software (PTC Creo would be a strong asset)
  • User knowledge of FEA software (Simulate/Ansys is a plus)
  • Knowledge of bicycle mechanics

Your Profile:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree, and/or a very strong product development background
  • Ability to work in team, with proven collaboration and communication skills
  • Creativity and an appreciation of good design
  • Bike addict
  • Fluent English. French or German or Chinese skills will be an asset
