Clinical Supervisor, Placerville, El Dorado Co

New Morning has provided a safety net to troubled children and their families in El Dorado County, CA, for over 45 years. In addition to the County's only emergency youth shelter, we provide counseling for children, teens and families in several locations. New Morning has received United Way's prestigious Community Partnership award, selected for this honor from over 100 certified agencies in Northern California.

AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY

Position: Full-time Clinical Supervisor position in the Placerville area of El Dorado County, CA. The Clinical Supervisor reports to the Clinical Services Director and shares the responsibility of ensuring that New Morning provides the highest quality of clinical services possible. The Clinical Supervisor will: supervise AMFT/ASW student or trainees and share with group supervision as required. In addition the Clinical Supervisor will provide therapy to children 0 -17 years old and their families in a variety of modalities such as individual, group, family or crisis intervention; participate in and facilitate collaboration, consultation and case management of clients; attend clinical, programming, supervision and specific meetings; and represent New Morning at agency fairs, public presentations and school meetings as required by the Program Administrator, Clinical Services Director or Executive Director.

Licensing Requirements: The candidate must possess a valid MFT, LCSW or clinical psychologist's license to practice in the State of California.

Education: Master's degree in social work or psychology required.

Experience: Direct experience treating issues confronting at-risk youth and their families, including experience with substance abuse and use, child abuse and neglect, teen pregnancy and juvenile delinquency preferred. The candidate must be abreast of the legal and ethical issues concerning therapy and be familiar with California laws and regulations pertaining to child abuse and neglect and Medi-Cal. Knowledge of community is desirable.

Other: Applicant must be fingerprinted/live-scanned and receive clearance from the FBI, Department of Justice, and the National Child Abuse Index. Must pass a TB test. Use of personal vehicle required; must possess valid CA driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
