But we all share one goal: to improve the world responsibly and safely.ResponsibilitiesKBR is seeking a Technical Writer for the Space and Mission Solutions Division. The Technical Writer will support the Business Development (BD) Team and will be responsible for supporting activities throughout the full lifecycle of BD. The Technical Writer will work closely with the Business Development and Proposal teams to respond to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs. He/she will write original content to draft compelling and compliant proposals to ensure the successful acquisition and/or retention of business. The Technical Writer will report directly to Senior Manager of Proposal Operations for Space and Mission Solutions Division.Responsibilities include supporting all phases of proposal development, managing the full proposal response lifecycle, analyzing solicitation requirements, and ensuring compliance while meeting all schedule deadlines, and analyzing solicitation requirements. This position will develop compliant outlines and all proposal artifacts, facilitate planning sessions to develop/identify strategies and solutions including win themes, value discriminators and risks, research and develop compliant proposal content to various US government contracts. The Technical Writer will develop all sections of a proposal to include, management, past performance, etc. and will work with technical subject matter experts to articulate our technical solutions in compelling and easy to understand narrative.Qualifications* Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in developing proposal materials for US federal government contract opportunities.* Must be proficient in reviewing and analyzing government solicitations and related documents* Bachelor's Degree in related field* Strong writing skills-both technical and non-technical* Strong written and verbal skills* Working knowledge and experience with space, engineering support, or mission IT acquisition organizations* Ability to turn highly technical material (collected through interviews or research) into easily understood narrative* Able to multi-task and support competing projects* Excellent people skills - working with personnel of varying experience, technical abilities, and levels of authorityPreferred Qualifications:* Master's degree in related discipline or MBA* Experience with Shipley or similar proposal processScheduled Weekly Hours:40KBR is an equal opportunity employer.
