For a big client of ours in the Oil and Gas industry we are looking for an experienced DevOps Support Engineer.
We are looking for temporary staff for experimental research work, on short notice. This is a role as associate researcher for a new "bench scale unit" that is currently being commissioned. The candidate would immediately join the start-up work, and then operate the unit independently. It is expected that after a short onboarding period the candidate will independently run the unit and carry out experiments, with minimal supervision. It is a fairly large and complex bench-scale unit, in which batches of a (new) product will be produced. The work requires knowledge and/or experience with chemical processes and process equipment (such as pumps, mixers, reactors) and process control (such as temperature, pressure, flow control). The objective of the experimental program is partly process development and partly product development: how can we best produce certain specialty grades of the product? And what are the optimal compositions of reactants and process conditions? How would this translate to the 'real' process in the commercial factory?
Skills & Requirements
. Min. level VAPRO-B.
. Strong preference for several years of experimental and/or process operations work experience, or strong interest in this direction and ability to learn quickly.
. Strong attention to working safely and cautiously, in accordance with all the company's requirements and expectations.
. Is result-oriented and has strong problem-solving ability.
. Can work well together in a diverse team as well as able to work independently.
. Strong communication skills in Dutch (preferred also in English).
Our client has a start-up culture that emphasizes transparency, collaboration and career growth, with the ability to work on small, nimble teams. Our team members can create change at scale and have an opportunity to truly disrupt and shape.
