For our client, a Swiss Bank, we are looking for a "Unified Collaboration Voice Analyst" for a long term project in Zurich, Switzerland.

Unified Collaboration Voice Analyst

Overview of business area or project:

Our client's end user services function is seeking a candidate to analyze use cases of current voice solution (Avaya, Skype, Contact Center) to perform a comparative analysis to migrate the functionality to products such as Microsoft Teams and/or Zoom. The role will initially be project based with the opportunity to get involved in various streams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and Architect/Engineer on the various voice solutions. Business and functional use case. This will involve use case analysis, prototyping, solutioning, blueprints, road-mapping, technical delivery and syndication with multiple stakeholders and peer technical groups through detailed documentation & presentations

  • Analyze current Skype and/or Avaya infrastructure

  • Create an exhaustive list of voice use cases currently used in the bank

  • Create list of functionalities available in cloud platforms such as Teams, Zoom etc.

  • Create a comparative gap Matrix of the functionalities/use cases that can be achieved by cloud solutions

  • Advise key sponsors on various feature and functionality options available in the cloud solutions including but not limited to native supportability, workarounds etc.

Overview of the department/team (team size, backgrounds, personalities):

Resource will be part of Voice team, under the overarching Unified Collaboration umbrella. UC from a collaboration functionality perspective comprises of IM, Voice, Video, Mail and Retention. UC IM Team, voice and video solely has ~45 resources (based in US, UK, Poland, India, Singapore).

Challenges Contractor will be facing in this role:

The role will entail interaction with various teams via Avaya, Skype etc. to create the desired output or perform the role. Understanding of on premises as well as cloud solution is mandatory.

There are challenging deadlines, the environment is fast paced, the candidate will have contact with multiple stakeholders.

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Voice Analysis/Voice Engineering

  • In depth understanding of on premise voice functionality and PBX environments such as Skype Enterprise Voice, Avaya (2+ years of experience)

  • Understanding of Media gateways such as Ribbon, Oracle and AudioCodes

  • Technical skills ideally in an engineering role involving requirement analysis, design and testing

  • Understanding of cloud solutions such as MS Teams, Zoom etc.

  • Excellent communication skills on every level, especially with multiple stakeholders
