Job Title: Clothing Coordinator
Department: Environmental Services
Reports To: Environmental Services Supervisor
FLSA Status: Nonexempt
SUMMARY The Clothing Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventories of clothing and other personal property of each resident. The Clothing Coordinator ensures that each resident has an adequate supply of clothing.
Marks or labels in accordance with Medicaid/Licensure regulations all personal property belonging to each resident and
Maintains computerized inventories of residents' personal property.
Maintains effective communication with laundry staff, Direct Support Professionals and Unit Managers.
Inspects, sorts, and sizes all clothing donations.
Stores donated clothing in designated bins and shelves.
Maintains an accurate record of contents in each storage bin including donations and seasonal clothing storage.
Takes inventory and labels personal property of individuals on respite stay on day of arrival and departure.
Plans and directs duties of sewing volunteers.
Works according to schedule and in compliance with attendance policy.
Ability to work competently with Microsoft Office, especially Word.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned or required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months related experience and/or training including a knowledge of style, fabrics and their care, and better than average sewing ability.
