Functioning within the Clinical Information Operations Team, the Clinical Information Operations Analyst will support the implementation, management, and administration of R & D
Clinical Systems. The role will work closely with the Clinical Information Operations
Team to define requirements, generate reports, analyze data and identify
and implement solutions to address areas of improvement within the systems. This role
will be responsible for working with study teams to define technology support needs.
This role also includes day-to-day administration of systems, working with stakeholders
to drive adoption, identify and resolve usability issues. Liaises with vendors (CRO's) to
ensure accurate and timely information and data is provided for Shire systems.
Requires experience leading workgroups to gather business requirements and implement technology solutions. Strong ability to clearly communicate with non-technical business users. Participate in functional requirement gathering and design review meetings. Manage and sometimes execute User Acceptance Test scripts.
Work closely with the Process Optimization team to provide optimal business use of technology as well as defining and implementing Clinical study metrics.
Maintain and administer Clinical systems as needed.
Vendor set up and CRO oversight
Provide analysis in support of process improvement of Clinical Systems.
Participate in projects to enhance clinical
systems/processes. Define end user requirements and support.
Provide administration support; manage permissions and security and recommendations for all issue/enhancement requests. Hands-on training support as required.
Collaborate with Process Optimization team and IT on system enhancements and roll out of changes/enhancements, including development of training materials/user manuals/learning solutions
Responsible to interact with various levels in the organization including IT support for Senior Management
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (scientific, business or technical degree)
A total of 5 years of related work experience of which 3 should be in the
Prior experience with Clinical Systems is highly preferred.
Experience working as a liaison between IT and Clinical
Experience with data capture and technologies such as Sharepoint
Understanding of Clinical data and how to present the data in a meaningful way
Experience with SDLC
