Ingenico Technical Architect
Brookwood is seeking an Ingenico Technical Architect for a financial global consultancy.
The contract is remote to begin with and the client site is in Fleet, Hampshire. This is for 3 months initially, with multiple extensions expected due to the size of the project.
The day rate will be based on market rates and dependent on previous experience, and it is INSIDE IR35 (Umbrella). This will be discussed.
Solutions Development (60%):
Responsible for creating technology solutions, architectural visions, proofs of feasibility and solutions impacts assessments to meet business requirements
Works with external partners and suppliers to deliver require business services and products.
Pro-actively researches relevant technologies and demonstrate their benefits by developing POCs where necessary
Adding clarity to business requirements; challenges business requirements to ensure high quality candidate solutions are created.
Thinks outside of the box to support the business in delivering its strategic objectives rather than just responding to a pre-defined requests.
Provides thought leadership and drive technology innovation.
Provides advice on supplier and cost options, ensures that the validity of the overall solution is fully represented and considered in any RFI/RFPs process, or in the creation and evaluation of proof of concept solutions
Has experience of and is conversant with migration from Legacy estate delivery to cloud based solutions (eg AWS), DevOps practices and agile delivery methods.
Advice and Guidance (20%):
Provides advice and guidance to business and technology stakeholders in shaping the portfolio of technology solutions to support business needs
Gives hands on guidance and support to delivery teams
Contributes to broader architectural governance activities by participating in peer reviews for other solutions.
Maintains detailed awareness of, takes fully into account, and promotes throughout the organisation, any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations, standards and codes of good practice. Is capable of contributing to the definition of such regulations, standards and codes.
Actively contributes to the development and promotion of the organisation's International technology organisation.
Coaches and mentors' other members of the architecture teams and the broader technology community
Strategy Development (20%):
Working closely with the relevant Lead Solutions Designers and Chief Architecture Owners supports the creation of an appropriate IT strategy.
Influences the relevant business strategy to maximize the effective use of technology to drive customer value.
Maintains knowledge of relevant technical skills at the highest level. Builds relationship with manufacturers, supply channels and SI partners.
Experience of doing C++ development on Embedded devices
Experience of the Payments domain
Exposure to working on Ingenico's Telium 3 platform
