About the Role
This position is for a Firmware Engineer with 2 or more years of development experience. The position requires a self-motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed/excel whose main responsibility is designing and developing firmware for embedded video and control products. As a Firmware Engineer, the candidate is responsible for following the company processes and procedures for firmware development, contributing to functional product specifications, and working closely in a team environment. This individual should have a strong, positive attitude and the ability to easily multitask. He/she should possess strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
Firmware Engineer - Individual Contributor role
What You Will Do
Work on advanced video/control products, in many aspects of product areas.
Work closely with technical support and test and validation team, in Richardson.
What You Need
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 2 years of professional embedded programming experience using C / C++ / Java and embedded Linux.
Good familiarity with VM usage.
Linux Operating system understanding.
Understanding of source control, such as Git and Bitbucket.
What is Nice to Have
Video/Audio knowledge a plus.
Basic understanding of USB.
Vmware/Makefile/Ant a plus.
Basic understanding of Jira, work on product bugs and features.
Experience with FPGA, hardware control, video/audio domain, network communications.

Be willing to travel up to 5%, domestic only.
Be willing to work in an office in Richardson, TX.
