The ideal applicant should have professional computer skills with almost expert
knowledge working with Word, Excel, and Outlook. Be detailed oriented with
exceptional proofreading skills, reviewing documents for errors, exceptional
writing and oral communication skills with high level federal government
executives, professional legal Investigators, and Regional Program Managers. Be
timely, punctual, consistent, reliable, and not letting minor mistakes go
forward without either correcting them or bringing them to the attention of the
CEO or COO.
The company is an approved federal government contractor performing work
related to fact finding inquiries and employment discrimination complaints for
the past 20 years. The company was recently awarded a new 20 year federal
government contract. While this position is part time, the ideal applicant
should be able to move into this position full time. This is training for the
position that eventually will become a full time position when the individual
holding this position retires. During the interim, other work assignments and
opportunities to earn additional income may be presented to the individual, if
needed. This additional work will also provide training and further insight
into company operations that will assist in the eventual transition to this
full time position. Previous legal secretaries, administrative/executive
assistants, with knowledge of the internet, computer skills, and knowledge
working with servers. Finally, scanning documents and/or assembling large
electronic files with Adobe Pro software is an essential function of this
position. However, we are willing to train the ideal applicant in using the
Adobe Pro software, if you possess the other required computer skills.
Additionally knowledge of and using Quickbooks Pro is preferred. However, we
will train the ideal applicant in this essential function.
