My Global Fintech client are looking for a talented Application Support Specialist to support number of applications in fintech Business. This exciting role sits at the core of the Operations team supporting and resolving issues and operational activities for these applications. The Application Support Specialist will support system wide core applications, internal teams and client queries. This role also has the opportunity to be involved in development and project work


Role Responsibilities



  • Day to day support of core applications.

  • Analysis and development of minor enhancements and bug fixes

  • Changes to Tivoli Workload Scheduler to support new project go-lives

  • Configuration changes to support batch processing

  • Provide specialist system support to other departments

  • Provide support to QA team for testing and sign-off of changes


Who are they looking for?


You should have experience working in an operational environment, dealing with issues and requests from operational areas



  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills (English)

  • Quality focused with attention to detail

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and proven ability to think logically

  • Ability to schedule tasks in an effort to manage time and priorities

  • Self motivated with the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team

  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, with a drive and commitment to delivery

  • Diploma or equivalent in a Technology related discipline


Experiences in the following technical areas are required;



  • All core applications use Oracle as the Database and SQL and PL/SQL skills are required

  • Oracle SQL experience

  • Knowledge of UNIX Scripting, Linux, Windows and Microsoft Office applications
