Pharmaceutical Engineer - Laboratory Instrumentation, Active Directory

Pharmaceutical Engineer | Bern City | 12 Months

For a project at our clients' site, we are looking for a Pharmaceutical Engineer.

In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, working with vendor technicians and scientists to install, maintain, and retire the computerized parts of laboratory instruments.

Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent as well as experience within the Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environments
  • Experience of working in Research and development or Quality Control labs and knowledge of computerized instrumentation
  • Good knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle and GAMP5 experience (IQ, OQ & PQ ) with respect to laboratory systems
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, Firewalls and networking required
  • HPLC like Waters Empower 3, GE Unicorn, Thermo-Fisher Chromeleon experience would be an advantage
  • Business Systems Analyst and Solution Architect related Functional/Technical knowledge is a plus
  • Well developed communication & interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Fluent in English
Your Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot issues with PCs
  • Assist with support of Incidents and Service Requests for laboratory-related instrumentation in a timely manner
  • Participate in the development of laboratory instrument requirements & plans
  • Prepare risk assessments & test scripts
  • Write and execute test scripts in a GMP compliant manner
  • Work closely with BT Quality and BT Security groups
  • Effectively communicate with R&D laboratory analysts & QA/QC on a regular basis in relation to laboratory equipment applications
