IT Support Engineer - Clifton Triangle, Bristol

Competitive base salary (dependent on experience) with structured progression plan

The Job

Reporting into the Operations Manager, the key focus of this job will be providing external and internal support for our IT systems and intelligent automation platform, SmartFlow. Offering end user support, carried out using our portal, email and phone, this person will be the first point of contact and technical help for our customers.

The IT Support Engineer will also be responsible for ensuring our IT operations runs smoothly for all internal users including all our software, hardware, access management and security.

Key Responsibilities

1st to 3rd line support - managing application support queries to a successful conclusion with our internal and external customers

Daily technical health checks

User access management

Regular management reporting

Desktop/Laptop/Server installation and configuration

Managing and solving network, PC and server problems

Managing key internal services

Liaising with 3rd party suppliers

IT asset management

Software installation and configuration

Keeping up to date with new technology

Maintaining a secure environment

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role will have a real passion for IT. With great problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude, they will be proactive in resolving issues and making sure all the IT operations run smoothly. Coming from a 1st/2nd line support role they will be looking to take the next step in their career.

Experience/Qualifications

3+ years IT Support experience in a 1st/2nd line' role

CompTIA A+ (desirable)

Essential Skills

Flexible attitude

Outstanding communication skills

Exceptional IT Security awareness

Desire to learn

Ability to prioritise own workload

Very Good working knowledge of:

Microsoft Azure and Office365 administration
Microsoft O365 apps Management (Teams/Bookings/SharePoint)
Microsoft Office suite
Microsoft Windows (Desktop & Server)
PC and server hardware

Desirable Skills

PC & Mobile Device Management

NextGen Cloud Firewall

PowerShell Scripting

Endpoint Security (AV/Anti Malware)

ITIL and/or ISO 27001 awareness

Zendesk Helpdesk System
