Manager, Programming and Data Analytics

About the role!
As a team member of the Insmed Biometrics Programming function, the incumbent will be at the forefront of identifying, implementing, managing and optimizing data analytics solutions internally and across functional stakeholders
This position will be accountable for implementing data analytics solutions that fit the strategic vision of Biometrics Programming using relevant technologies and tools. Specifically, the incumbent will have the following job responsibilities:
Enable analysis and reporting of clinical trial and related data through automated process/tools/solutions that boost efficiency, increases throughput and preserves quality and compliance.
Develop technical solutions such as Macros/Packages/Utilities that accelerate statistical programming of clinical trial data
Serve as the custodian of clinical trial data and other stakeholder data to ensure efficient storage/archival/retrieval/reporting
Lead change management during the maintenance and upgrades of systems/tools/processes
Play a key role in identifying and onboarding technologies/tools/platforms that support current and future data analytics/visualization needs
Actively engage with stakeholders to understand the business needs and propose technical solutions that leverage existing capabilities
Lead technical implementation of projects/initiatives, including creation of proof-of-concepts and high-level designs of solutions architecture
Lead initiatives and utilize resources to meet corporate objectives with minimal supervision
Stay abreast of latest techniques in data analytics and continually seek opportunities to improve internal processes.
Motivate and mentor staff to maximize the use of technical solutions and increase stakeholder satisfaction
Professional development to enhance knowledge, skills, communication, scientific methodology, operational efficiency, and compliance with policies, regulations, and corporate standards and processes
Minimum 5 years of work experience in a data analytics role is required
Pharmaceutical/Biotech/CRO experience is a plus
Requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field of study
Master's degree or higher in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field of study is a plus
Knowledge & Experience:
Solid programming skills in one or more programming packages (SAS, R, Python, Java) is required.
SAS programming skills is a plus
Understanding of data normalization and relational database concepts is required
Prior experience in developing periodic automated reports/dashboards/views is required
Expertise with one or more applications that manage/transform/analyze/visualize data (SAS EG, J-Review, Qlik, Tableau, TIBCO Spotfire, Metadata Repositories) is required
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
Expertise in advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables/Reporting, Advanced Charting, Power Query, VBA, Macros) is a plus
Prior experience in leading projects/initiatives is required
Prior experience in line management (direct reports) is a plus
Knowledge of clinical trial concepts and CDISC standards is a plus
Must have good communication skills (verbal and written)
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness.

May require Domestic and/or International travel (some overnight), 15% of work time maximum
