User Experience Director

As UX you will lead UX discipline and drive the digital experience design across our branded Brinks Home Security websites and applications. The UX will oversee the UX and digital design teams, execute projects from concept to launch (in an Agile environment), guide and partner with internal teams and external agency partners, and work as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team. This is a management role that will report directly to Krystle Craycraft, Vice - Head of Digital Marketing and User Experience.
This role requires an extensive and proven track record of managing and directing team's conversion rate optimization through disciplined testing successfully delivering multiple creative projects at the same time and understanding the ebb and flow of creative work.
Manage and mentor a team of UX/UI designers and developers which includes recruitment, performance management, and budget management.
Manage budgets to create efficient and scalable design solutions.
Digital studio design work intake: assisting with discovery to scope and plan the work, author creative briefs, and contribute to the engagement estimates.
Set clear goals, manage project loads, and allocate resources, accordingly, ensuring deadlines are met and setting up team members for overall success.
Cultivate, inspire, guide, and develop an engaging atmosphere for learning, collaboration, experimentation, agility, and creativity, while maintaining high expectations and attention to detail.
Help create and evolve design standards, best practices, and pattern libraries that account for user needs and context, while reinforcing brand values and standards. Guide the team to follow and develop these guidelines to ensure a high bar of quality.
Work with team members to identify and implement innovative and user-centered design, methods, and practices that enhance the user experience.
Ensure all UX team deliverables comply with usability, content, SEO, accessibility, and design standards and strategies; and support analytics and usability research findings as well as data.
Plan, conduct, and/or participate in user research, usability testing efforts, competitive research, and analysis. Report research findings to stakeholders. Translate these findings into design solutions.
Contribute as an information architect, Front End developer, and/or designer on projects as needed.
Anticipate and adjust to market and industry trends/challenges to ensure constant innovation and competitive opportunities.
Partner with internal and external implementation teams throughout the development process to ensure execution as planned and designed.
2+ actively working with Nuxt, React and/or Vue
JS library development (internal or open source)
Client-side API integrations
Web performance optimization
Thought leadership through documentation, code review, and mentorship of junior developers
Experience with a marketing automation platform such as HubSpot or Pardot
Experience with one or more:
CSS pre-processors (ie Sass, LESS, PostCSS)
Front-end build processes (ie Webpack, Gulp, Grunt)
UI frameworks (ie Bootstrap, Foundation)
5 - 10 working in a conversion optimization role.

Demonstrated expertise defining digital user experiences using research methodologies such as heuristic evaluation, prototyping, in-lab, and online usability testing.
Deep A/B and multi-variate testing experience with case studies of successes.
Experience with latest responsive web design and mobile design techniques and strategies with supporting portfolio examples.
Demonstrated expert ability to apply usability best practices in a cross-channel environment (web sites, CRO, mobile, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to translate project requirements into a recommended design approach and design artifacts.
Familiarity with the agency RFP process, and experience evaluating and selecting design agencies for digital work.
Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, particularly digital agencies.
Demonstrated ability to scope, plan and estimate complex initiatives, and create implementation plans to deliver work.
Experience with enterprise level user experience architecture and design processes; agile experience a plus.
Strong conceptualization ability to facilitate and lead creative brainstorming sessions.
Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into engaging, user-focused solutions.
Demonstrated ability to present and defend design concepts?to decision-makers.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects or activities in a dynamic environment.
