A great management and career opportunity for someone as we come out of lockdown. Despite the virus situation my client's business has continued to grow and we are now seeking an additional key member to join our close-knit management team.

This is a rare opportunity as my client is one of the fastest growing fulfilment companies in the country with a very motivated team. This is a family business that offers storage, picking, packing and delivery services that are tailored to suit a wide variety of small and medium sized businesses. As they rapidly grow a varied and large customer base, from entrepreneurial start-ups in E-commerce to established wholesale retailers, their bespoke, helpful, and hands-on approach is what customers love about them as they support them at every stage of their growth.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Customer Service Manager to lead our customer care department. Your goal will be to lead a small and growing team and provide outstanding customer service to clients by responding to customers, developing effective customer service procedures and setting customer satisfaction goals, centred around building strong and effective working relationships.

It is vital we find someone who has that special caring and professional personality who can help people feel valued and appreciated, with a genuine concern for the needs and wants of customers and internal departments. Building highly collaborative relationships with demanding customers while juggling a myriad of other daily tasks, you will naturally make customers and their needs a primary focus, understanding them and educating them on operational capabilities and develop collaborative and cooperative relationships.

You must have experience of leading and supervising a small team and have around five or more years' experience in a client facing customer service role in any industry sector, a hunger to learn and adapt to a new rapidly evolving business environment.

Other requirements:

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant field (not compulsory)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer service software
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of management practices and techniques
  • Demonstrable leadership and interpersonal skills.

Salary: A competitive salary in the region of £35,000 (depending on experience), company profit share and personal bonus.
