DevOps Senior Oracle DBA/Netherlands (remote during pandemic)/6 months/Start ASAP

Description:

The role of Cloud DevOps Engineer is a blend of architecture, automation, security, development, operations and administration. It is a hands-on technical position in a fast-paced atmosphere. The ideal candidate strives to solve traditional operational problems through automation and software. In addition, the candidate must uphold a high standard of excellence, have a strong customer focus and be capable of technical deep-dives into code, cloud services and configurations, databases, load balancers, network, operating systems, and storage. NN CIO Group HOF department is looking for an ambitious DevOps Cloud Engineer. The HOF department within the CIO division of NN Group is responsible for the application management (Dev/Ops) of all IT applications used by the different head office functions departments (ie Finance, Risk, HR, etc). In order to assure the delivery of high quality services towards our stakeholders, the HOF department is divided in three different verticals (CFO, CRO and CCO-CIO). You will operate as a team member in a Devops team working on different challenges. The team is responsible for building a future Azure Native solution for the Finance Reporting stream which consist of main 2 solutions: Aptitude and an internal build Finance and Risk Data warehouse. Aptitude is a commercial off-the-shelf calculation engine for IFRS17 currently deployed on AWS and will be migrated to Azure Kubernetes Service in the future. The team is also responsible for ensuring the applications comply with the security and risk standards of NN Group.
Working environment description (department/project)

Your responsibilities will include:

* Set-up of the Oracle DB on Azure according to NN Security & Compliance requirements. Automate everything (eg security, infra provisioning); Migration of the current solution from AWS to Azure - Kubernetes/Container solution. Installation and deployment Aptitude applications, customise existing applications in order to make them fit for Oracle on Azure. Monitoring implementation (Splunk). Monitor performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to Front End users. Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans. Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly. Ensure database integrity and security. Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database. Optimize database performance

Your profile:

* Proven work experience as an Oracle Database Administrator. Experience in Agile (Scrum) way of working. Experience in CI/CD way of working. IT and a business oriented way of thinking and working;. Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving. Willingness to take up administrative tasks like writing and updating technical and security documentation. Good command of spoken and written English Your skills. years' Experience with Oracle (AWS RDS and Oracle on Azure). Experience on Database management. Experience with Cloud services (preferably Azure). Experience with webservers (preferably Tomcat). Experience in building, configuring and Scripting of CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge on networking best practices. Experience in at least 1 programming or Scripting language, preferably Shell or Python. Experience in GIT. Experience on implementing availability and security monitoring for the Oracle DB. Knowledge of Oracle database backup procedures, recovery systems, and SQL. Knowledge on API's.. Knowledge on Kubernetes and Docker containers. Basic knowledge of Java (for troubleshooting)
