Title: EMEA Financial Accountant
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Starting date: 1st July 2020

Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager on the Dublin Controllership Team, you will be part of a dynamic group of highly skilled professionals having responsibility for 30+ entities. You will be working in a very fast paced and challenging business environment, but also for a company that is one of the best large workplaces in Ireland and Europe. Beyond your operational responsibilities, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership to continuously enhance our processes through innovation, as well as providing a high level of support to our Business Partners.

Core Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting:

Manage select US GAAP closing processes (preparation of journal entries & related balance sheet reconciliations)
Preparation of monthly flux analysis (Balance Sheet and Income Statement Accounts)
Responsible for SOX Compliance for pre-defined areas
Support the integration of newly acquired companies into the.* accounting & compliance structure
Other Ad-hoc projects & process improvement initiatives

Indirect Tax:
Collect, review and re-work ERP data to prepare VAT returns
Review monthly, quarterly and annual VAT returns, EC Sales lists and Intrastat declarations
Monitor VAT compliance deadlines
Support audits and inquiries by governmental authorities
Interact with business partners, both internal and external (including outsourced provider), to ensure VAT process is compliant

Required Skills/Experience:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
2 -3 years PQE in industry (preferably in a multi-national environment)
Prior knowledge or experience of Indirect Tax is a plus
Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
Experience in SOX compliance programs and other country equivalents.
ERP systems experience (Oracle is a plus) in a multi-ledger environment
Results oriented, team player who is comfortable in a fast growing and challenging environment
Hands-on, decisive and efficient worker
Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
