Service Support Engineer (Dutch speaking) | Merelbeke, Belgium | 1 years contract + extension | Excellent hourly rate.

I am currently looking for a Service Support Engineer ICT Workspaces (Dutch speaking) to support my clients team in Merelbeke, Belgium.

As an all-round IT Workstation specialist, your objectives are to support this fascinating environment (3rd line incident operation). You therefore have demonstrable experience in 2nd and 3rd line support in a comparable business context (> 1000 users).

Also, youll ensure through continuous improvement that this environment is always as reliable and efficient as possible for our end customer. To this end, a good knowledge of both PC hardware and the Windows operating system is crucial, script, test and distribute (new) software applications or versions in the context of projects as well as in the context of maintenance assignments. You also have demonstrable experience with SCCM2012 (or more recent) for this purpose.

Establish the link between the PC and surrounding factors such as network and system related dependencies where necessary based on thorough analysis in case of problems.

Requirements for the Service Support Engineer (Dutch speaking) role in Merelbeke, Belgium:

  • Higher education (Master or Bachelor) with technical/engineering background or equivalent due to experience with ICT technology for which expertise is required
  • Demonstrable experience with the technology in question or a similar technology
  • Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR level C2.

In addition to an office environment of 5000+ workplaces, my client also has a fieldforce of 2000+ technicians and contractor technicians who are responsible for carrying out work on connections and the network. These users have specific mobile PCs. In addition, we recently made the switch to new devices in combination with Windows 10.

Technical skills for the Service Support Engineer (Dutch speaking) role in Merelbeke, Belgium:

  • Demonstrable experience in 2nd and/or 3rd line support (technical and application) in a business context of users according to an ITIL-based approach is a must
  • Demonstrable experience in supporting users using Windows PCs is a must
  • Demonstrable experience in support field workers
  • Demonstrable experience with Active Directory setup/management of Organizational Units is a must.
  • Demonstrable experience with GPO deployment
  • Demonstrable experience with thorough analysis of problems.
  • Can make the link between the PC and surrounding factors such as network and system related dependencies in problem analysis. (must)
  • Demonstrable experience with Powershell and VBS Scripting
  • Demonstrable experience of packaging and release via SCCM2012 (or more recent) of adapted/new software
  • Demonstrable experience of PC Hardware and peripherals
  • Demonstrable experience of Windows operating systems (client Windows 7 - Windows 8.1 - Windows 10).
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience Firewall
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP
  • ITIL foundation certificate
  • Higher education (Master or Bachelor) with technical/engineering background or equivalent due to experience with ICT technology for which expertise is required
