Market leading retail (POS) software house is seeking a strong Programme Manager who will manage the delivery of retail software solutions into large and strategic accounts. You will be responsible for managing virtual technical teams of skilled systems/developers/network installers/engineers. This is a demanding role working extensively with both the client and internal technical team. It is also a role that offers plenty of scope for initiative and self-development. You must be used to making decisions and working autonomously.
To be considered you must have previously worked as a Programme Manager and ideally have good knowledge of the software retail sector. You will also have worked for a software house and will understand deploying software into external environments.
Essential Skills Include -
Previous knowledge working as a Programme Manager/Senior Project Manager.
Experience of influencing decision makers at all levels
Proven operational experience in managing medium/large multi-site projects ideally in the Retail or Hospitality industry.
Good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of products including Microsoft Project.
The ability to embrace issues/problems encountered and communicate to the relevant internal teams/customer working towards a satisfactory resolution.
Experience of delivering software projects with a development element
Role & Responsibilities Include -
Managing multiple projects within a programme of work, as well as key project resources defined.
Be the liaison between senior business stakeholders and technology teams to make programs successful from a business perspective.
Taking over and understanding solution sales processes to ensure that you are able to complete advanced planning for resource as well as software development, hardware and service procurement.
Ensuring that all aspects of customer projects are delivered on time and within the agreed budget.
Delivering project plans for installations ensuring diligence in the following areas: Scope Management, Schedule Management and Resource Management.
Ensuring that the development and technical Implementation teams deliver installations to agreed time and cost framework.
Liaising with Sales, development, Installations and Technical teams to ensure smooth management of customer installations and expectations.
Managing the project life cycle from the start to completion, communicating to both internal and external customers on the project plan, dependencies and risk. Owning the escalation channels and effective communications to ensure successful completion and sign off of projects.
Maintaining secure customer records of installations including configuration profiles, software development, agreed SLAs, hardware and software inventories.
