POSITION: Early Years Practitioner SALARY: From £18,824.0 Level 3 BENEFITS: Pension, 28 Days holidays per annum. Paid public holidays are counted as part of annual leave entitlement, along with the Christmas closure period. HOURS: Permanent - 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum LOCATION: Road South, London N11 1GN DESCRIPTION: Based in London, our client is a privately owned Nursery offering high quality care and a welcoming environment to children from the age of 3 months to 5 years. Due to continued success the nursery is seeking to recruit a full-time Early Years Practitioner. The successful candidate will work individually and as part of a team under the direction of the Team Leader to ensure the total care of children through planning, organising and implementation of childcare activities. JOB ROLE (not limited to): Awareness of physical, intellectual, social, emotional and cultural needs of the children. Working knowledge and understanding of the Curriculum Guidance for the Early Years Foundation. Planning, preparing and organising purposeful and stimulating age appropriate activities. Operating a Key Person system, liaising with parents, carers and senior staff regarding the development of the children within their care. Submitting observations and reports. Ensuring the premises are clean and tidy and comply at all times with the requirements of legislation. Promote an anti – racist and anti – sexist atmosphere. Provide a safe and secure homelike environment for the children within your care. Participating in regular staff meetings, these are held in the evenings. Maintaining awareness of current childcare practice and legislation attending training as necessary. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Experience of providing preschool play in a group setting in an urban, multi – cultural daycare environment. Educated to NVQ level 3. Be able to understand and write reports. Possess the ability to communicate with children, parents, staff and other professionals. Be able to work in a team and on own initiative. Be able to adhere to all health and safety and company safeguarding policy. Be flexible in order to meet the changing requirements, the duties/location of this post and the role of the post holder may be changed after consultation. Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK. The Nursery has a no smoking policy.
