Senior Facility engineer
12 month contract (extendable)
The senior facility engineer has a broad knowledge of and insight into the various technical disciplines within the facilities department, with a focus on mechanical engineering-oriented areas such as heat and cold generation, air treatment (clean rooms), distribution systems for (ultra-pure) operating materials, compressed air installations and demineralised water production. As a non-operationally deployed engineer, your duties and responsibilities are in the field of energy (energy saving, energy transition and sustainable energy), efficiency and supporting discipline engineers with more complex issues. In addition, the senior facility engineer makes basic designs, tender documents and project budgets for projects. Risk management plays a major role as a company that falls under the regime of the Risk Major Accidents Decree (BRZO) and based on the requirements set for business continuity. The senior facilities engineer also has an important role to play in drafting FMEAs, among other things.
Finally, as a technical conscience within the department, a contribution is expected in the development of longer-term plans in the technological field and in the technical/financial substantiation of strategic choices.
The position requires a mechanical engineering course at HBO level, preferably followed by the HIT (Higher Installation Technology) course.
The candidate has at least 5 years of experience in the above-mentioned fields in an industrial environment.
Knowledge of maintenance methods (including NEN2767)
Familiarity with outsourcing maintenance. Cost awareness
are familiar with operating facility installations.
Good communication and presentation skills, flexible attitude
Good knowledge of the Dutch language in speech and writing
In addition to a professionally high level of knowledge, the tasks require a high degree of independence, but also team spirit and a strong personality who is able to present their own insights clearly and with good motivation (both orally and on paper). In this position, being able to switch between pragmatism and thinking on a conceptual level is essential. Other required competencies are reliability, result orientation, curiosity, helpfulness, taking an extra step when necessary, adhering to agreements and showing ownership for the entrusted responsibilities and tasks.
