For our client in Zurich we are looking for CMO/GMA Program Manager for 12-month contract.

Description:

Provides project management and leadership skills to the Medical Strategy Team (MST), Medical Franchise Leadership Team (MFLT) and/or certain other functions in the CMO or GMA, in the successful delivery of multiple and/or complex projects within a single or across therapeutic areas for Global Medical Affairs.

Must haves:
1. Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise (Breadth and depth of knowledge, application and complexity of technical knowledge)
2. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and program management experience in leading cross-functional, global projects within Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Regulatory, CMC, Marketing or other drug development related function
3. Knowledge of the drug development and commercialization process and an understanding of the functions within the pharmaceutical industry
4. Demonstrated previous experience as a project manager leading complex pharmaceutical project deliverables in a multi-disciplinary, global environment
5. Proven ability to communicate clearly and present key information objectively and collaborate effectively with management
6. Experience managing program level budgets across multiple projects
7. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines governing medical affairs
8. Applied knowledge of performance measurement (eg metrics, dashboards)
9. Therapeutic area expertise is desirable

More details about the responsibilities:

* Responsibilities include leadership of the MFLT, MST and/or other teams, in strategic direction and translating project strategy into an efficiently executable plan; predicting and planning solutions to achieve successful operational execution; driving the team to achieve clarity on issues and focus on effective contingencies; interfacing with senior management and influencing decision-making, monitoring slippage and developing strategies to get back on plan and navigating through the internal governance for projects

* Will partner closely with the Medical Freanchise Head (MFH), Global Medical Unit Head (GMUH) and CMO/GMA team members as well as other global, regional and local Medical Affairs, Commercial and R&D functions, as required, to ensure that the medical and functional strategy is integrated into an operational plan

* Serves as a partner to CMO and GMA functional team members to determine project priorities, identify resource needs; lead key strategic planning activities; report program progress; oversee program budget; and execute communication and change management plans

* Leads the program and project planning efforts of the MFLT, in defining and implementing the therapeutic strategy as well as maintaining oversight at the MST for the operational plans, execution strategies & critical path for the product

* Responsible for coordinating governance approvals for the key project deliverables and holds self and team members accountable to deliver on the agreed upon program objectives

* Identifies and manages project and resource priorities that align with the business objectives

* Establishes, communicates and executes plans resulting in achievement of project goals

o Drives and manages the creation of project strategies and supports the MFLT, MST, and/or other teams in presenting these strategies to key stakeholders and decision makers.

o Adjusts project strategy and priorities in response to changes in strategic direction.

o Provides clear and targeted messaging to teams, translating corporate priorities into clear and meaningful team goals

o Provides direction and obtains buy-in from relevant internal stakeholders and team members to therapeutic, functional, or operational strategy

o Identifies ways to accelerate the project execution where possible while maintaining high quality standards

o Continuously and efficiently manages stakeholders at various levels, across all CMO and GMA functions and regions

* Facilitate the MFLT, MST and/or other group meetings and ensure agendas are appropriate to enable key discussions and decisions within the team.

* Manage the planning, operational and reporting logistics of the MFLT, MST and/or other teams

* Partners with the GMUH to lead and manage the global, cross-functional MST, or other teams, through the project plan execution and holds to the highest standards for operational excellence and compliance in all CMO/GMA activities

* Responsible for building quality relationships with key stakeholders, in both R&D and Commercial, that result in valued and trusted partnerships and program support.

* Proactively identifies potential issues or obstacles and achieves resolution or plans contingencies and follows issues through to resolution, ensuring that MFLT/MST arrives at a singular conclusion or recommendations

* Provides financial oversight for program/franchise budget. Includes consolidation, vetting and prioritization of spending risks and opportunities, in partnership with MFH/GMUH and in collaboration with CMO/GMA functional teams

* Leads the project risk management process and generates the cross-functional project risk register for assigned projects. Ensure that the risks identified for GMA activities at the MST are reported up through to the Global Program Manager at the GPT for consolidation into the Global Risk Management Plan for the asset

* Independently resolves complex issues and competing priorities that may impact achievement of goals, and creates mitigation plans and drives to resolution

* Works closely with teams, to balance operational execution with GMA strategy
