We are currently looking for an IT Senior Business Analyst (Cargo) for our client an aviation services company based in Zurich.

Scope;

  • The IT Business Analyst Cargo is the primary contact of the Global Operations Cargo team to gather and analyze business requirements, to translate them into development specifications.

  • Collect, document and analyze demand from Business

  • Design IT solutions

  • Support and facilitates the development of an application on a day to day basis in line with the requirements

  • Classify, validate demand against business objectives and application architecture strategy

Main Job Responsibilities

  • Manage change requests portfolio, set priorities and monitor progress

  • Coordinate activities of IT Business Analysts

  • Collect, document and analyze demand from the global cargo operations team

  • Classify, validate demand against business objectives and application architecture strategy

  • Translate business requirements to the development partners

  • Support development & testing of required functionality

  • Support the business with application usage when needed

  • Collect, document and analyze requirements including interfaces, rollout and Application, Modelling

  • Support activities to cut over data and users into the system

Other Job Responsibilities

  • Main point of contact for airline related system/messaging issues (eg EDI testing)

  • Ensure that the systems comply (where needed) with industry standards (eg IATA, iQ, EDI messaging, eAWB etc).

Key Performance Indicators

  • Quality, comprehensiveness and usability of:

  • Requirements & Functional Design, Data mappings

  • UAT Plan and Scripts

  • Application

Your Role;

  • Extensive knowledge in air cargo management applications, Cargospot of preference

  • Experience in collaborating with external partners

  • 8 years of experience in requirements engineering, business and process modelling

  • Strong abstracting, analytical and integrative skills, structured approach

  • Project Management experience

  • Strong internal customer orientation with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong communications skills with ability to communicate at all levels of an organization

  • Organizational skills

  • Fluent command of English as the corporate language, any other language is an asset

  • Ability to work in multicultural and international environment

  • Willingness to travel worldwide (about 30%)
