Python Developer/Python Engineer/Banking/DevOps

For a leading financial company of the Netherlands, we are looking for experienced Python developers. Your task as a Python Developer will be to design and develop the next generation of applications. You'll work with the best professionals in software development. As a Python Engineer, you are responsible with your team to speed up and strengthen the digital transformation, and Credit Risk Management. Our teams are experienced in Agile/Scrum, CICD and we will be moving to Azure/Azure Devops in the near future.

Examples of activities for a Python Developer are:

  • Continuous improvement of test automation, implementations and operational tasks (CI/CD)
  • Continuous improvement of software development
  • Collaborate with various Business and IT parties to produce excellent results for our customers
  • Support more junior colleagues to create better products and move to a higher level of maturity

Examples of our department's challenges:

  • Implementation of CI/CD and DevOps culture, processes and tools
  • Moving to Azure
  • Further introduction of automation within our department
  • Continuous improvement of our operational processes to provide the best possible service to our internal customers

Your profile as a Python Developer

  • A minimum of 5 years of Python development experience
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in working with Linux and Python
  • Knowledge of IT Automation Applications: Bitbucket, Nexus Repository, Ansible, Azure, DevOps
  • Experience working in an enterprise environment (ideally in Banking)
  • Experience and interest in Credit Risk Management
  • Eagerness to be (come) T- shaped: analysing, crafting, developing and testing (automation)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proactive mindset and you take responsibility
