As a Manager of Network Security Engineering youll have an opportunity to lead a team that is driving and supporting all aspects of MassMutuals Network Security delivery and operational efforts within the network infrastructure space, including but not limited to firewall, NAC, proxy, decryption.

What success looks like.

- Provide MassMutual enterprise information risk management (EIRM) teams, IT operations and IT service delivery with strategic direction regarding incident response, emerging cyber threats and industry best practices.

- Engage & influence MassMutual technology leadership to implement and utilize 'best-in-class' technologies and frameworks to drive continuous improvement in our security posture.

- Achieve our objectives for continuous improvement on speed, cost and effectiveness through metric-based management, and standardizing deliverables that align with Enterprise Information Risk Managements core standards.

- Drive and improve MassMutuals Cyber Security posture to limit exposure to risks and areas of exploitation.

- Partner with program owners to provide engineering delivery and support to implement security technology and programs across EIRM.

What your days and weeks will include.

- Define and oversee the execution of the delivery efforts for all MassMutual Cyber Security projects aligning to Edge Security.

- Provide the day-to-day leadership of key delivery efforts aligning to all Cyber Security business partners.

- Collaborate, perform and provide leadership to enable the attainment of strategic objectives, including the readiness of the support organization to deliver on all Cyber Security efforts.

- Model the behaviors for interactions with key partners across MassMutual and set standards for the team to emulate.

- Establish and enforce repeatable practices for core support functions.

- Define and build an organization that supports the business, and aligns staff in roles that match their skills, while enabling growth and acting definitively to make changes and corrections where warranted.

- Develop, recruit and train industry knowledge experts to enable superior delivery of Cyber Security efforts, to secure the digital assets of the firm.

- Instill and demonstrate a focus on delivery of high quality services as seen through the accuracy, currency and availability of the systems and services within the scope of responsibility.

- Stretches routinely beyond defined boundaries to lend skill and expertise to partner teams across the organization with a focus on continuous improvement.

- Partner with Security Operations Center and Security Intelligence to ensure preventative controls are effective against cyber threats.

- Oversight of daily operations and support of cyber applications for designated cyber programs.

The skills that make you a great fit.

- 10 years of overall experience with at least 5 years of IT leadership, business unit, or other functional leadership experience.

- 3 years of Cyber Security experience preferably in network and infrastructure.

- Clear track record of leading/driving key initiatives working with cross functional teams to successfully implement critical business projects, problem solutions and continuous improvement efforts etc.

- Demonstrated risk management strategies and recommendations to drive expected results, mitigate risk, while balancing cost and benefits

- Knowledge of modern data technology platforms with understanding of architecture and design principles for high performance and scalability.

- Direct knowledge of Cyber Security efforts such as DLP, SIEM, NAC, Behavior Analytics, Endpoint Protection.

- Experienced with vendor negotiation and contract development.

- Experience with managing vendor delivery and relationships.

- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business or related field.

- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

- Experience with Agile development methodology.

- Experience managing large-scale security projects.

- Advanced degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field.
