We’re TransUnion and we believe in Information for Good About the Role: The Head of Procurement is responsible for the development and implementation of sustainable procurement and supply chain strategies in order to deliver a robust, cost effective and committed supply base capable of supporting the business’s significant growth expectations. Working alongside the Global Procurement team the postholder will also manage the strategic direction of all procurement activity across the UK business whilst championing and driving continuous improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Managing the Procurement of all services and assets for the UK business - Develop, lead and manage the UK Procurement function (with potential for this to extend to other TU countries) - Optimise external spend for the business and deliver cost/value/business benefit. - Deliver budgeted targets (savings, cash flow, cost reduction depending on business focus) to drive improvements in operating margin and deliver the businesses strategic priorities - Ensure effective supplier relationship management and governance with supporting KPI’s - Developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders to identify and deliver improved procurement solutions - Leading negotiations of complex/high risk contracts, through a range of processes ensuring business requirements are met and risk management strategies in place - Undertake market analysis to identify new opportunities to drive value Lead supplier performance review process ensuring demonstrable delivery of service and value to agreed contracts - Delivery of customer service level expectations (value, supply, quality, innovation, risk management) - Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures and practices Skills & Experience: - Previous experience required in the leadership of a Procurement function in a complex global business. - Experience of procuring both IT and non-IT categories of spend - Experience of managing teams in the UK and internationally. - Ability to evidence value from mature procurement strategies and processes that support the businesses strategic priorities - Strong commercial background - Stakeholder management - The ability to work in and lead teams - Influencing and persuasion skills - Change management experience - Strategic thinking - Strong analytical skills - Communication skills - Recognised as a strong procurement professional What’s in it for you?
