Are you studying towards a finance qualification? Are you looking for an entry level finance role? Or... are you an experienced purchase ledger clerk looking for a new challenge? And................... You want to work in state of the art offices in the heart of the city? If any of the above applies please read below! The successful applicant will be responsible for purchase ledger transactions. The role will also be responsible for bank reconciliation and general accounts admin. This position will work as part of the wider finance team and will support the other Accounts Payable Clerks. The role is part time and will be for 22.5 hours per week and will last for 12 months. The company are based near the train station. No parking is offered with this position. The main duties of the role are as follows: • To process supplier invoices • To pro-actively chase non-returned invoices and ensure correctly logged • To ensure prompt and accurate payment of supplier accounts • To reconcile supplier statements to purchase ledger accounts • To manage the payment of invoices and ensure that these are paid on time and only as required • To answer queries from colleagues about invoices and payments • To ensure all outgoing payments are correctly recorded in Sage • To reconcile the cash book to bank statements on a regular basis • To provide cover for other team members during holidays & sickness Candidates must have a can do attitude, be pro active, driven, intelligent and be able to make commercial judgement.
