About the Position
The primary objective of this position is to develop product testing and qualification documentation for high-reliability magnetic components used in electronic systems. The candidate will also assist engineering with validation testing, visual and mechanical inspection based on internal and customer requirements as well as reporting results and recommendations.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Research, design, evaluate and improve electrical test systems for existing and new CO, LAN and RF products.
Provide production support on new and existing designs.
Attend program, staff, company, design review and group meetings.
Prepare documentation forms such as Drawings and ECN's.
Plan, review and implement future test engineering strategies.
Consult with Design Engineers to discuss project specifications and requirements.
Other duties as assigned
Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Math or Science preferred. Two-year technical certificate or equivalent experience required.
Experience: 5-7 year's experience in the field. Experience in generating technical documentation for product testing and validation. Experience in analyzing data and forming a conclusion based on scientific evidence.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have the ability to read and interpret drawings and military standards. The use of electronic equipment such as multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies, frequency generators is helpful but not required. Basic understanding of analog circuits, test procedures and test processes. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Microsoft Excel, macros/calculations and must have the ability to analyze and present the data in a clear and accurate manner.
