IT Manager I, Human Services - Limited Service

professional to serve as the IT technical liaison to the Department for
Children and Families. The IT Manager I position is responsible for bridging
the technology gap between Human Service Leaders and Application Technologists.
This individual must have experience in Business Process Management/
Reengineering and the ability to solution Business Processes that leverage
technology for more efficient operations. A qualified candidate would be
responsible for strengthening relationships between Information Technology and
our Business Partners. They would also be working to set attainable priorities
that help deliver improved business outcomes. This position will be responsible
for gathering Functional requirements from business stakeholders and creating
functional specifications for application designs and serve as an IT Solutions
Architect for Human Services.
This position, IT Manager I, Human Services (Job Requisition #3054), is open to
all State employees and external applicants. This position is open until
filled. The State of Vermont posts vacancies for a minimum of ten business

AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background

Work is performed in a standard office setting. Some travel may be required for
which private means of transportation should be available. Work outside of

Six (6) years or more experience in computer science, business administration,
public administration, mathematics, technical operations management or
providing support to staff within an Information Technology environment.
Four (4) years or more in an Information Technology Manager role with a
combination of experience in computer operations, information technology
management/administration or supervisory responsibilities.
Previous Enterprise Application Development experience
Data Modeling experience
IT Contract Negotiations
Software Development Life Cycle
Automated testing tools/processes
