Platform Release & Change Control Manager

Tremendous opportunity for a Platform Release & Change Control Manager to join a high profile enterprise project.

You will coordinate the change control function for our integrated policy, claims, billing, portal platform. In this role you will set up and manage a change control forum to facilitate product and systems change control. Your primary objective is to manage the pace of change.

You will collaborate with the Release Manager, Platform Architect, Business Readiness Testing Lead, and other teammates. You will ensure that code, product, and configuration changes are delivered in a prioritized, safe, and predictable way. You will be designing fit-for-purpose capabilities that ensure system and process changes are delivered to meet the needs of our various business units.

Duties include setting up and facilitating the change control forum, managing stakeholders, ensuring cross-functional participation, collaborating with teammates, resolving prioritization conflicts, surfacing and managing delivery risks, conducting cross-product and cross-infrastructure impact assessment, and helping us continuously evolve our change delivery practices.

You will manage the business change process for our integrated platform, partner with Release Manager and Architect to form the Release Team and be the voice of the business in delivering change for our integrated platform, drive consistent application and execution of release control and change management practices, continuously maintain and prioritize the platform backlog, spearhead forward-planning of demand and supply to ensure that IT delivery teams have the right amount of capacity at the right time, ensure that release capacity is used in an optimized way to ensure that the needs of business units are met, be the champion for the change control function within the business, participate in Roadmap Planning and Project Portfolio Planning activities, and forecast release activities and support resource planning to meet commitments.

You will be working in an open (no cubes or offices) Agile and collaborative environment that is high energy and very fast paced.

This is a direct hire position in the Perimeter area. Exciting opportunity to make an impact on a mission critical and high profile project. Generous PTO (24 days), matching 401(k), paid sabbatical, opportunity to telecommute one day a week after 6 months.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 2+ years managing release planning and delivery
  • 4+ years with platform release management and change control
  • Strong stakeholder management experience including the ability to stand up to stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of technology (release planning, applications, infrastructure, SDLC)
  • 4 Year Degree
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Consultative and collaborative personality
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High Energy/Driver Personality
