The Opportunity
The Opportunity

You will lead the East Coast IT team for Marvell in a cross-functional/matrix-
based organization working with the global teams and global functional
managers. While your primary responsibility will be to support the local needs
of the engineering team and East Coast sites, you will align the team to the
Global IT organization and global standards and policies.

You will be accountable for the stability of the East Coast IT environment,
plan for operational efficiency and recognize and escalate issues when
required. You are adept at driving towards resolution on issues and projects
working with peers and teams that are remote. You will influence through
persuasion to get results and leverage the globalized workforce as needed to
meet the needs of the organization and site.

Developing relationships with the local stakeholders to understand their
requirements and concerns, and then translating that into prioritized
resolution and projects will be vital for success in this position. You will
also be an advocate for Global IT, communicating and educating your
stakeholders on the Global IT initiatives, standards and policies.

As a candidate for this role, you are a visionary leader with an extensive
background in managing and supporting server, storage and virtualized
infrastructure. You have experience with EDA and high performance computing and
strive to make jobs run faster, more efficient and cost effective. Your
familiarity with storage technologies, cloud and *Nix platforms will be
critical to driving direction and setting the roadmap for the future workloads.

Your experience managing and growing strong technical teams will be a key asset
to your success in this position. You have mentored and coached individuals in
the past and thrive in seeing them be successful. You understand what it means
to work in a matrixed environment and will ensure your staff are aligned to
both global and local priorities.

You stay abreast of industry trends, follow best practices and excel at
operational management. You put your customers first and see technology in
their eyes as they would use it. Your engagement with the business,
particularly engineering will be critical to ensuring a successful partnership
and delivery of services.

As part of your operational excellence, you will insure auditory compliance,
incident management and data protection policies are followed.

Responsibilities
* Lead our East Coast IT Team, reporting into the Global IT organization
* Includes support for offices in Burlington VT, Marlborough MA, Toronto
ON, Raleigh NC, and New York locations and a newly established Data
Center on the East Coast.
* Responsible to provide a secure, robust, compliant, scalable, & efficient
platform & storage infrastructure services to the Engineering team
* EDA, Compute and Storage knowledge
* Partner with Business and IT customers
* Infrastructure Architecture and Operational Management
* Manage, mentor and coach managers and individual contributors

Qualifications
* 10+ years of IT and business/industry work experience with at least 5
years managing multiple, medium to large cross-functional teams or
projects.
* Bachelors and/or Master Degree in Computers/ Electronics / Information
Systems
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to
interact across all levels
of organization.
* Management experience and a proven track record of planning and executing
successful projects.
* Experience in the semiconductors industry
