Application Support - Document Imaging Systems

Our client is seeking a Technical Application Specialist to provide telephone support, email support, and in person requests to Users utilizing Commercial document imaging systems. Work Location is Welcome All Road, Atlanta GA 30349.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voice mail, email, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with Information Systems supported by the Imaging team.
Interviews user to collect information about problem and leads user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error.
Researches whether problem is caused by hardware, software, or process with the use of relational database queries and custom code review.
Contacts software and hardware vendors as needed to request service regarding defective products determined to be vendor hardware/software issues.
Tests software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work.
Assists in writing or revising user training manuals, FAQ, and procedures. Documents how to processes to increase user self-sufficiency.
Attention to details and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Primary work hours will be Monday - Friday 7am to 4pm. After hour and weekend support tasks may be needed on occasion.
Work Location will be the GA Dept. of Revenue Processing Center at Atlanta GA 30349.
Working knowledge of Opex or IBML imaging system solutions.
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL or Oracle PL/SQL.
Knowledge and experience working with commercial off-the-shelf software configurations.
Knowledge of C# and or VB.NET object-oriented programming.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Strong analytical and communication skills
Candidates must possess a degree in one of the areas below or have 2-4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience:
Computer/Management Information Systems
