The Infrastructure Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing relationships with his/her internal customers so they can work together to ensure infrastructure solutions/services are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role includes direct accountability for the coordination, execution and delivery of critical infrastructure programs and projects. This position will manage all incoming project work to infrastructure, work with their customers and peers to prioritize the work, ensure their customers are updated on progress being made, and in the end, deliver solid, high quality infrastructure solutions on time and within budget.

  • Provide Enterprise Portfolio Dashboard for key Infrastructure Delivery strategic projects
  • Manage the overall roadmap for implementation of critical infrastructure services
  • Ensure consistent application of program and project management practices and enable delivery of predictable outcomes
  • Establish and execute program governance, communications plan, escalation and change management processes
  • Tracking and Reporting - Monitor key projects within their portfolio from initiation through delivery
  • Communication - Serve as central point of contact for leadership and their customer group
  • Provide daily management and guidance; act as a source of expertise for business project managers
  • Ensure compliance with all project management standards
  • Lead annual Planning with Finance Lead
  • Accountable for ensuring overall program and project delivery, schedule and budget attainment, and effective management of leadership expectations in achieving overall desired outcomes, results and deliverables
  • Strategically partner and collaborate with IT partners and IT peers in defining and deploying strategies that ensure investments enable the achievement of tactical and strategic IT goals

Job Required Education/Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of combined project and program management
  • Bachelors or master's degree in computer science, business, or related discipline
  • Familiarity with business process re-engineering
  • Hands-on experience in project/portfolio resource planning, reporting, prioritization and budgeting
  • Previous IT Infrastructure experience is required
  • Experience leading projects and portfolios within and outside IT, as well as projects and portfolios that involve external providers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with various organizational levels (from VPs to subordinates)
  • PMP/PMI or equivalent certification preferred

Job Additional Education/Experience

  • Practical skills in creating and managing program strategic plans within a matrixed IT organization
  • Demonstrable program management capabilities including demand management, resource management and project management
  • Ability to move between strategic and tactical issues quickly
  • Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) to senior management as well as peers and subordinates
  • Ability to quickly assess project issues and correct them through superior coaching and mentoring skills
  • Skills in working in a collaborative and Matrix environment
  • Experience in implementing IT solutions
