Senior Environmental Consultant/Project Manager

Salary Description: Dependent on experience

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Warrington or Glasgow

Neo Environmental are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Senior Environmental Consultant with project management experience to be based in Warrington and work on a broad variety of projects. The position will offer the right individual the opportunity to work for a well-established and growing environmental consultancy. Having Business Development experience is also desirable for the role and shares in the company may be considered for the successful individual.

The successful candidate will work on projects including large energy developments, residential and mixed-use schemes, infrastructure, aggregates and commercial projects. You will be given plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and expertise through ongoing mentoring and training. The ideal candidate will be able to work with a high degree of independence as well as in teams. The role will ideally suit an individual with experience of leading projects and multi-disciplinary teams.

Duties

•Project Management and delivery of EIAs and Environmental Reports

•Co-ordinating in-house consultants and liaising with clients and stakeholders

•Organising and conducting site visits, team meetings and scheduling work

•Report compilation and editing

•Subcontractor management

•Tender and Fee Proposal production

Essential Criteria

•Degree educated (Masters preferred) in an environmental discipline as well as being chartered or working towards chartership of your professional institution

•Demonstrable experience of the successful delivery and management of projects

•Good knowledge and understanding of UK EIA and environmental legislation

•The successful candidate will be required to produce reports for clients and so attention to detail, reliability, and good organisational skills are essential.

•Significant proofing, editing and report collation experience

•Tendering and fee production Experience

•Must be flexible and willing to travel

•Proactive networker

•Full driving license

•Eligible to work in the UK

•Own transport

Desirable Criteria

•Qualification and experience in an environmental discipline - ecology, hydrology, transport, air quality, etc.

•Experienced in GIS and other software packages

•Strong scientific knowledge

•Strong track record of writing great proposals and winning business
